VP, Product Management & Operations

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Vice President (VP) of Product Management and Operations to lead and oversee the development, execution, and optimization of our product strategy and operational efficiency. This executive role will combine leadership in both product management and operational execution to drive our company’s growth, enhance customer experience, and maximize business performance. The VP will work cross-functionally with leadership teams to ensure alignment across product vision, development cycles, and operational capabilities, all while fostering a high-performance culture.


Role Specific Job Duties:


Product Strategy and Vision:
  • Define and communicate the company’s product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead the product management team to deliver innovative, market-leading products that meet customer needs and drive revenue.
  • Champion customer-centric design, ensuring the voice of the customer is incorporated in every phase of the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align product strategy with overall business objectives.


Product Development and Execution:
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation through to launch and iteration.
  • Foster a collaborative environment between product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
  • Implement agile methodologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement in product management processes.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.


Operational Leadership:
  • Oversee operational processes and systems related to product delivery, customer support, and product performance monitoring.
  • Drive operational efficiencies across product development, from budgeting and resource allocation to time-to-market optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure streamlined workflows, clear communication, and collaboration across product, operations, and other business units.
  • Develop and enforce best practices in operational procedures and standards.


Team Leadership and Development:
  • Build and lead a high-performing product management and operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to ensure growth and succession planning.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to the team, ensuring a high level of engagement and alignment with organizational goals.


Stakeholder Communication:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders on all matters related to product and operations.
  • Present product and operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment between product offerings and customer needs.


Financial Oversight:
  • Develop and manage product budgets and ensure alignment with overall company financial goals.
  • Monitor the financial performance of products and operational costs, taking corrective actions as needed to ensure profitability.


Required Skills / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in product management and operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully scaling products and operations in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
  • Experience with both product development and operational management, including familiarity with agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and operational efficiency frameworks.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to navigate complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Expertise in product lifecycle management, from ideation to launch and iteration.
  • Strong background in scaling operations, optimizing workflows, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in product management software (e.g., JIRA, Aha!, etc.) and operational tools (e.g., ERP systems, CRM software).
