A quick run-down of the job

As our company continues to grow and evolve, we are on the lookout for a Product Owner to take ownership of our product's trajectory. This will be a new role within our company, and the fact that there’s no shoes to fill presents both the challenge of the job and the opportunity it creates for you. As we continue to scale up, an experienced professional who thrives on adding structure will find LI.FI a rewarding place to be.

You will be at the forefront of our core product, the LI.FI API, where your role will expand in tandem with our product's growth, presenting new challenges and increased responsibilities. You'll play a pivotal role in scaling the team's size and significance, as well as in establishing structured workflows for developers, while collaborating closely with our Technical Product Manager, Team Leads, CTO, QA Engineer, and Data Analyst. This is a role that offers high visibility within a company that is driven by its backend, making it a pivotal and rewarding opportunity.

Please note that this is an EMEA-based position. Your application will not be considered if you’re outside of this region.

What you’ll do

  • You'll shape our product's trajectory and ensure its alignment with our overarching roadmap.

  • Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of feature prioritization, definition, and tactical roadmap planning for our API.

  • Collaborating closely with our Product Manager and other relevant stakeholders, you'll discuss the priority and complexity of new features, defining them with clear acceptance criteria.

  • You'll take charge of planning, coordinating, and tracking releases, while also monitoring product metrics alongside our data analytics team.

  • You'll oversee essential tasks such as organizing penetration testing, conducting acceptance testing for new features.

  • Ownership of documentation and facilitating daily stand-ups to evaluate progress and address any challenges will also be central to your role.

  • You'll kickstart and lead technical planning sessions, collaborating closely with our engineering team to ensure alignment with project objectives.

  • Your day-to-day tasks will revolve around ensuring the quality and progress of our product.

  • Actively manage feature prioritization, coordinate release schedules, and maintain open communication channels with stakeholders to manage expectations effectively.

  • Your primary goal will be to uphold the quality and progress of our product while navigating challenges such as the absence of established structures and fast-paced, evolving priorities.

  • Given that you'll be the first Product Owner in our company, this role represents a unique opportunity to shape and define its position while contributing significantly to LI.FI’s success.

What makes you a good candidate

  • Relevant previous experience(s) as a Product Owner, preferably within the Web3/blockchain space and in developer-focused product environments.

  • Understanding of Web3/crypto concepts from both user and developer perspectives, with practical experience in Web3 technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with a proactive approach to communication.

  • Ability to adapt communication style effectively when engaging and working with various stakeholders.

  • Highly self-organized with strong organizational skills.

  • Independent and self-starting individual with a strong sense of accountability and a collaborative team player mentality.

  • Basic to intermediate technical knowledge is a plus, particularly in coding.

  • Experience with and understanding of Rest APIs, including testing and high-level design is a plus

  • Familiarity with Jira is a plus
