LinkedIn Talent Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to launch and oversee the strategic roll out and management of our state-of-the-art London Experience Centre.
This facility houses a medium-sized event venue, executive suite and board rooms, a cutting-edge product installation area, and a welcoming social barista and open community networking space. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a strategic vision for the centre in conjunction with the UKLT steering group, managing the Experience Centre Marketing Team, enhancing the overall customer experience, and ensuring the space effectively facilitates a blend of internal and external events. This is a customer and stakeholder-facing role, as well as a people management role. It involves partnering very closely with our LinkedIn Workplace team to ensure full-circle operational and strategic management of the ‘first of a kind’ facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision and Program Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the centre in collaboration with cross-functional centre partners and the UKLT steering group.
Team Management and Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams responsible for marketing or event programs, with strong skills in hiring, developing, and coaching talent.
Customer Engagement: Enhance the overall customer experience, ensuring the space effectively facilitates a blend of internal and external events, including executive briefings, as well as larger member and customer events.
Event Management: Oversee the strategic planning framework and successful execution of all events within the centre. Work closely with the Workplace team to ensure optimal utilisation of the space and resources.
Project Management: Lead projects to enhance facility offerings, streamline operations, and improve the overall visitor experience. Report on KPIs related to the centre's impact.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and vendors in collaboration with the Centre Workplace Lead. Coordinate with various departments to prioritise and create an environment that promotes seamless execution of activities within the centre.
Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the budget for the centre's operations, including event costs, maintenance, and staffing. Collaborate with our Workplace, Front of House, Security, and Catering teams to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining a premium experience for all visitors.
Customer / External Facing: Contribute to external guest facing work when required, representing the centre and its offerings.
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years people management experience.
6+ years of executive engagement, marketing / event management or event centre management.
Business proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications:
Event management (virtual and in person) and content development experience
Effective and persuasive communications and collaboration skills across multiple markets, teams, and functions
Experience working with senior-level executives to manage tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results
Effectively manage change within your own team and through effective partnership with sales teams and other cross-functional partners
Initiative-taking and agile: Independently capable of seeking information in an unstructured environment, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering timely results in challenging situations
