Healthcare Architectural Project Manager

LPA is seeking a passionate Architectural Healthcare Project Manager to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, master planners, and researchers in our Healthcare practice. As a member of our Healthcare team, you will impact a broad variety of innovative, futuristic, local, sustainable, and high performing projects including cancer centers, outpatient facilities, ground up hospital campuses, medical office buildings, Behavioral Health, and more. Here is more information about our approach to design for scientific facilities, including medical and life science. As a member of our healthcare team, you can expect to work on projects like Chao Cancer Center, Newport Beach East Tower Refurbishment and Hoag Hospital Expansion.

You will be working with directors and principals in the studio and across the firm. We are looking to you to help us continue to develop our talented designers and engineers.

What you will do:

  • You will be living and breathing the project from inception to completion and be able to turn your hand to all aspects of the project.

  • You will be responsible for meeting the project goals including integrated design and planning goals, budget, schedule, and project financial performance.

  • Prepare schedules, budgets and work plan documents during all phases of the project.

  • Review contractual and financial construction administration documents.

  • Maintain excellent relationships with the clients, builders, governing authorities, stakeholders and team members.

  • Project types include cancer centers, outpatient facilities, ground up hospital campuses, medical office buildings, etc.

  • Review research for product and construction methods related to project

  • Serve as the Architect of Record.

  • Signing and stamping, as a licensed professional, all project related documentation which has been prepared under the supervision and direction of the Project Manager or Managing Director.

  • Mentor your team members and help to train and upskill them.

Healthcare Project Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture

  • 10+ years of experience in all phases of architectural projects

  • Architectural license

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel. Knowledge of Revit and Adobe Create Suite preferred.

  • Knowledge in management of project business: scope, fee, schedule, work plans and budget

  • HCAI/ OSHPD experience

The salary range for this position is $98,000 - $150,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
