Reporting to the VP Global marketing, as Marketing Director Sponsorship & Brand Partnerships, you will lead the function to leverage partnerships with athletes, organizations, ambassadors and brands across the globe to increase SOV and establish WHOOP as the undisputed leader in human performance.
This person will have a passion for health & fitness and a flair for brand storytelling and play a pivotal role in the continuing evolution of the WHOOP brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as WHOOP’s primary point-of-contact for key marketing partnerships with athletes, ambassadors and brands.
- Bring experience in multi-channel campaign activation to collaborate with colleagues across the organization to plan, bring to market and activate partnerships to their fullest.
- Hold a strategic viewpoint on how the complexion of our athlete & ambassador roster should evolve to mirror and support the future of our product and brand.
- Lead a tight team of experts to deliver on existing contracts, relationships, commercial agreements, and development roadmaps.
- Identify opportunities to create meaningful marketing campaigns that articulate our brand promise and value proposition.
- Own negotiation of new agreements and renewals.
- Responsible for the upkeep of athlete/partner bios, including lifestyle and product usage insights to springboard marketing opportunities.
- Development of a robust measurement framework to assess the efficacy of investments.
- Manage Brand Partnerships Marketing budget.
- Evaluate new opportunities, product/market fit, and resource requirements.
- Guide and input into team creative and marketing briefs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years experience in sports marketing and brand storytelling.
- Experience deploying 360 marketing campaigns.
- Fluency in tracking and measurement of sponsorship activity.
- Contract negotiation and deal dynamics.
- Ability to formulate a robust business case guided by quantitative outcomes and qualitative plans for execution.
- A track record of leading and developing talented marketeers.
- A passion for sports, health, and wellness.
