Title: Material Management Leader
Location: Southfield, MI
Duration: Long Term Contract
Education: BA in business, logistics, supply chain, or engineering
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing and/or material management experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify Early Opportunities in proposals and estimating and/or hand-off from sales phase
- Identify High Risk Suppliers in proposals and estimating and/or hand-off from sales phase
- Support Unique Proposal Requirements
- Push Information to purchasing commodity teams for action or strategy development
- Responsible to drive and coordinate advanced procurement / forecasting information from the project team to commodity purchasing
- Work with project team to develop robust SOWs and capture all customer requirements
- Review project specs and communicate to appropriate Buyers
- Develop, Drive & Control Project Sourcing Plans
- Communicate Scope, Timing & Budget to Commodity Teams
- Single point of contact with the project teams for material status – MMLs will communicate with follow-up coordinators for material status by supplier
- Support Timeline Development for purchasing related activities ensuring adequate lead time for purchasing activities
- Purchasing Timeline Updates/Reporting for one line meetings
- Periodically attend customer meetings and whiteboards to provide material status updates
- Support PPRs (project performance reviews)
- Support with purchasing EAC (Estimate at Complete)/CTC (Cost to Complete)
- Identify purchasing Risk & Opps
- Steer Project, Purchasing & SQ teams to focus on top priorities
- Intimate involvement in high impact purchasing, follow up or quality actions (Recovery Plans, Cost Recovery, Large Purchases, High risk Purchases)
- Work with design to resolve issues as it relates to purchase material
- Work with site teams to develop material/service support plan (POU Material/Vendor Managed Inventory)
- Lead any critical supplier material or service issues identified by site
- Attends both Project Review Dry Runs and Project Reviews for their primary platform(s)

- Ability to multi-task and work from remote locations
