The Opportunity:
Mattel is currently seeking a Manager Licensing Operations in El Segundo, CA. The position will be a member of a dynamic group focused on leading a team that manages contract administration, invoicing, royalties and collections for the Consumer Product, Content, Live Events and Digital Gaming teams. What Your Impact Will Be:
• Lead contract administration, royalty processing and collections with adherence to Mattel policies and procedures for a large volume of work (2,300+ contracts for CP, Content, Live Events and Digital Gaming).
• Manage AR Aging, Balance Sheet forecasting and share metrics for Global Distribution
• Prioritize revenue and accounts receivable activities
• Manage Global Agent relationships, leverage their resources
• Streamline processes with focus on automation
• Support the development and facilitation of division wide training and change management
• Manage and lead a team of 2 onshore and 3 direct offshore resources
• Translate complicated business models into systems
• Lead data insights by overseeing report development to create metrics and more productive processes
• Test and validate upgrades and new automation opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years relevant experience in a finance, accounting, auditing, royalty, or IT environment required
• Experience in Media, Licensing or Consumer Products a plus
• Customer focused mentality
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Tableau and Excel superstar
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to read and understand legal agreements
• Proactive mindset with ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems
• Leader as well as team player
• Detail-orientated with an ability to see the big picture and work on projects with many stakeholders
• Manages diverse projects and assignments
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project, Visio, Outlook, and PowerPoint
The annual base salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $150,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
