As a Pre-Planning Sales Representative, you’ll help families make proactive decisions about funeral and cremation arrangements—locking in today’s pricing, documenting their wishes, and easing future stress for loved ones. Some conversations are consultative; others convert quickly. You’ll need empathy, urgency, and structure to succeed in this remote, consumer-facing / B2C sales role.
You’ll manage a pipeline of current and past inbound leads and play a critical role in helping families plan ahead—removing uncertainty and offering peace of mind when it matters most.
Own the Sales Pipeline
Manage a high-volume funnel of 300+ leads/month
Convert at least 40% of leads using soft-close techniques and compelling follow-ups
Leverage calls, texts, and emails to nurture leads over longer decision cycles
Upsell value-added offerings to increase average order value
Build Trust Through Expertise and Empathy
Establish yourself as a credible, compassionate guide for families navigating pre-planning
Communicate the benefits of pre-planning in simple, compelling terms
Use a consultative approach to match families with the right options
Build rapport quickly and handle objections with care—not pressure
Collaborate and Scale
Share learnings and feedback to improve sales scripts, tools, and messaging
Participate in pipeline reviews and strategy sessions
Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members as we grow
2+ years of consultative B2C sales experience in long-cycle environments (e.g., insurance, financial planning, senior living)
A persuasive yet empathetic communication style—confident, warm, and expert
Proven ability to manage a high-volume pipeline with consistent follow-through
Skilled in objection handling and guiding uncertain prospects toward action
Self-starter mindset with strong organization and autonomy
A deep belief in Meadow’s mission and a desire to help others through meaningful work
