CONTEXT

Within the Michelin Group, the Business Line Lifestyle is structured around several brands: Le Guide Michelin (restaurants and hotels selection), Tablet Hotels (hotels selection), Via Michelin, Rober Parker (Wines selection) and Licensing.

While scaling up its B2B fundamentals, the growth strategy today aims to leverage on the distinctive assets and target the B2C and ensure to be on the right path to drive brand preference and customer engagement. To this end, Michelin Lifestyle is recruiting a Branding Manager for the Michelin Guide.

JOB PROFILE SUMMARY

Within the Marketing Department and reporting to the Michelin Lifestyle's Head of Brands, the branding manager is responsible for leading the Michelin Guide global brand identity.

The Michelin Guide branding manager works closely with the Engagement & Brands Corporate Direction (DCEM), local teams and external agencies to develop and implement a strong and consistent brand strategy, conveying brand’s values and positioning. He/She also ensures that all teams across regions are aligned and equipped with the needed assets to guaranty the respect of the Michelin Guide’s brand’s integrity.

MAIN EXPECTED ACTIVITIES

1. Brand Identity

  • Take part in defining the brand positioning and platform.
  • Make sure that a strong, unified and consistent brand identity is maintained
  • Maintain the integrity of the brand’s positioning
  • Lead the development and execution of global brand guidelines
  • Act as a brand ambassador internally
  • Liaise with the legal department.

2. Global Collaboration and Support

  • Work closely with Engagement & Brands Corporate Direction (DCEM), Lifestyle Business Line's departements but also regional teams to ensure brand guidelines and strategies are understood and being implemented correctly and consistently in each region.
  • Provide direction and support for localized needs, helping teams adapt the global brand

3. Creative Direction and Asset Development

  • Collaborate with external design agencies and internal creative teams to develop brand assets
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials, ensuring they are consistent with the brand’s visual and messaging guidelines
  • Lead the creation and development of brand-specific templates

4. Performance Monitoring

  • In collaboration with the business intelligence and customer insights manager or any relevant team
  • Monitor global brand performance of the Michelin Guide.
  • Review and analyze on a regular basis how the brand is perceived, making recommendations
  • Follow the success of brand campaigns and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, Branding or a related field; Master 2 or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a global Branding role, with direct involvement in managing brands on an international scale preferably in a premium and dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English & French
  • Creative and Strategic Thinking
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Project Management

KEY EXPERIENCES IN:

  • Experience in Global Branding: Proven experience managing global brands, ensuring consistency across diverse regions and cultures while respecting local nuances
  •  Using data analytics and customer, market research to adjust strategies and drive efficiency
  • Managing functionally international teams and implementation of a positive cultural change across an organization
  • Working with various internal and external stakeholders on a diverse range of tasks to deliver meaningful results on time and within budget
  • Hands-on experience with Digital strategies and uses.
