Inventory and Assortment Manager

The Inventory and Assortment Manager will be responsible for the strategic and tactical management of specific product categories within the client's catalog. This individual will report to the Director of Inventory Management and can perform functions with a high level of independence.

Success for this position can be reflected in the following:

  • Leadership of Inventory Strategy- Be the pro-active voice of influence and guidance in the organization driving product investment activities
  • Seasonal Planning- Thoughtful measurement of Seasonal product performance (Holiday Specific vs. Everyday product), (sell through, average unit retail, campaign participation.)
  • Assortment Strategy- Attributes, Item Status, Exit Strategies
  • Active management of how much inventory to buy, what inventory to buy, timing of deliveries and seasonal sell through management
  • Collaboration with various teams to ensure product is delivered and listed for sale in expected time frames, product is being applied to appropriate marketing activities and is listed on applicable website assets
  • 7+yearsof multiple product category management (Financial and Assortment)
  • Assortment planning across apparel and or accessories product
  • Generating Pre Season and Hindsighting activities that include risk and opportunity assessment
  • Open-to-Buy Management and Guidance
  • Item Lifecycle Management and Guidance
  • Assortment architecture activities that include but are not limited to depth of buy quantification, optimal customer choice count, target price selling and product attribution allocation across future product investments
  • Ability to articulate actions based on historical assessment, current trend signals and collaborative dialogue with marketing and product development leaders
  • Direct to Consumer and or Omni Channel experience

Technical requirements:

  • Shopify Reporting and data extract, Data cleansing and aggregation from multiple sources, Google environment, Core planning KPI tracking (sell though, weeks of supply, average unit retail, margin measurements)

Business Acumen:

  • Candidate should already be operating at a level where they are driving strategic assortment and financial decisions, meetings and processes within an organization.
  • Candidate will have the ability to create and optimize reporting insights and actions to various stakeholders within the organization
