We are currently hiring for Optical Manufacturing - 3 Days a week - Night shift!

National Vision is one of the largest optical retail companies in the United States with over 1,200 stores. We operate four retail brands: America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, Eyeglass World, and Vista Opticals inside select Fred Meyer stores and on select military bases.

Position: Optical Manufacturing Associate (Night Shift)

     3 days per week, choose your work schedule

Schedule: Sunday – Tuesday, 4:00 PM to 4:30 AM
Schedule: Wednesday – Friday, 4:00 PM to 4:30 AM
Starting Pay: $17.05/hour (with potential for production bonuses)!

Job Description

We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Optical Lab Manufacturing Technician for our critical night shift operations in Salt Lake City, Utah. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the production of high-quality optical products for our clientele. This position demands unwavering attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Operate and maintain sophisticated optical manufacturing equipment during night shift hours with precision and care
  • Execute lens cutting, edging, and finishing processes according to exact specifications
  • Conduct rigorous quality control checks to ensure all products meet or exceed required standards
  • Maintain an impeccably clean and organized work environment at all times
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures without exception
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet stringent production goals and deadlines
  • Promptly identify, troubleshoot, and report any equipment issues or production problems
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all production activities and inventory
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities and workload demands
  • Consistently meet or exceed performance expectations in a high-pressure manufacturing setting

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience in optical lab manufacturing or related field is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to work night shifts is essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail and stringent quality control skills are crucial
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and manage time effectively is necessary
  • Competence in basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping is required
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds is essential
  • Superior communication and teamwork skills are imperative
  • Reliable transportation to the Salt Lake City facility for night shift work is required
  • Commitment to maintaining a consistent night shift schedule is essential
  • Comfortable with a fast pace
