Lead Software Engineer wanted by New Balance Athletics, Inc., Boston, MA.
30% Responsible for the design and implementation of digital product domains’ goals for new and existing features and services. Serve as technical Subject Matter Expert and handle escalations from team members and provide Level of Efforts. Take part in a collaborative Agile development environment for digital product workstreams and technical domain team. Review and approve code submitted by a team of cross functional full stack engineers and testers. 20% Provide technical expertise necessary to drive the development process for global eCommerce websites; expert-level understanding of overall infrastructure and systems. 20% As key member of the epic and solution refinement sessions, responsible for providing the technical design, documentation, and flows then working with the team of engineers to communicate and refine the solution approach. Ensure solution approach meets accessibility, performance, security, and other non-functional requirements. 20% Lead the team through analysis, design, and software development phases for assigned features and maintenance requests. Ensure high quality and scalable technical solutions are implemented through regular code review and working sessions. Respond to and investigate incidents and enhance the observability and monitoring of applications and escalate as needed. 10% Coordinate with cross functional tech leads of other workstreams, architects, and technical management on cross cutting concerns and overall adoption and implementation of engineering practices, improving metrics, and drive improvements in all technical practices. Wage range: $122,970-$172,744 per year.
Required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related field of technical platforms and databases, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related field of technical platforms and databases. If qualifying with a Masters degree, must have the following: 2 years of experience with software development life cycle; 2 years of experience in programming languages such as JavaScript and C#/.NET Core deployed using Azure technologies; 2 years of experience building APIs comprised of microservices such as APIM, Azure Service Bus, Azure App Services, Azure Queues, and Azure Functions; 2 years of experience in cloud platforms such as Salesforce Commerce cloud and Microsoft Azure; 2 years of experience in integrations with various systems related to Product Information Management, Email services & order management systems; 2 years of experience with edge application firewall/protection services. If qualifying with a Bachelors degree, must have the following: 5 years of experience with software development life cycle; 5 years of experience in programming languages such as JavaScript and C#/.NET Core deployed using Azure technologies; 5 years of experience building APIs comprised of microservices such as APIM, Azure Service Bus, Azure App Services, Azure Queues, and Azure Functions; 5 years of experience in cloud platforms such as Salesforce Commerce cloud and Microsoft Azure; 5 years of experience in integrations with various systems related to Product Information Management, Email services & order management systems; 5 years of experience with edge application firewall/protection services. Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced “Work from Anywhere” (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
