Northrop Grumman’s Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) organization is seeking a level 2, or level 3, Software Development Analyst to work at our Melbourne, Florida location.

The selected candidate will provide Application Engineering (AE) that supports, maintains, and resolves incidents on enterprise-wide Systems and Software engineering tools and applications software. This role demands IT-focused end-user support in areas of best practice development, operations support, and problem resolution for the engineering community.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • End-user support of System and Software engineering software included in the Engineering Systems Pool (ESP)
  • Provide system maintenance, licenses management, software installations, upgrade deployments, operations support, test support, and system troubleshooting while meeting software compliance standards.
  • Monitor, address, and resolve Systems and Software production environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, etc.
  • Document all aspects of system support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting Systems and Software.
  • Provide demos to users when required.

Note- Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.

This position may be filled at either level 2, or level 3 (Principal level), based on the below qualifications.

Basic Qualifications (for level 2):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM related discipline with 0 years of relevant technical experience is required
  • Candidates must possess a current DoD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years OR must be enrolled in the DOD Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program, in order to be considered 
  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment
  • A current Security+ CE certification, OR the ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of start date as a condition of continued employment, is required
  • Experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux Operating Systems needed
  • Experience with Server/Client installations is a must
  • Experience with application administration required
  • Must have the ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software tracking tools such as DOORs, MATLAB, Cameo, and Jira

  • Current Security + Certification
  • Current SAP Access
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience as an End User for system engineering tools such as Atlassian, DOORs, MATLAB, STK, Cameo, Teamwork cloud, and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to code DXL script to ingress user and group permission
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work well under pressure and adapt well to unplanned tasks
  • Ability and willingness to continuously learn and implement new processes.
  • Dedicated to teamwork and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Must work well with others in a professional setting regardless of skillsets

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Salary Range 2: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
