Role: Head of Social Media

Contract Type: Full Time, working 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week

Location: Hybrid, working 3 days a week in our offices based in Old Street, London

About You

As the Head of Social Media, you will own and execute Oner Active’s social media strategy, ensuring that our brand continues to inspire, engage, and grow our community. You will be responsible for leading a team, developing innovative content strategies, and driving brand awareness and engagement across all platforms. This role requires a mix of creativity, strategic thinking, and analytical expertise to maximize our brand presence and connect deeply with our audience.

 

You’ll be responsible for: 

  • Leading and executing a best-in-class social media strategy that aligns with Oner Active’s brand vision, values, and business goals.
  • Overseeing all social media channels, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence.
  • Developing and implementing content strategies that drive engagement, reach, and conversion while staying authentic to our community.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (creative, brand, product, marketing, and community) to deliver cohesive storytelling and impactful campaigns.
  • Analysing performance metrics, leveraging insights to optimise content and engagement strategies.
  • Managing and mentoring a team, ensuring high-quality execution and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity.
  • Identifying and engaging with influencers, athletes, and community voices to amplify brand reach and credibility.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to maintain a cutting-edge strategy.
  • Leading social activations, events, and collaborations to enhance brand engagement and community connection.
  • Crisis management and reputation monitoring, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to brand-related conversations.

 

You’ll need to have:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in leading social media for a brand with a strong community focus, preferably in activewear, fitness, or lifestyle industries.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Creative and strategic mindset, with a passion for storytelling and community engagement.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring a high-performing team.
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable with data, insights, and performance-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passion for fitness, strength training, and women’s empowerment is a plus.
  • Experience with influencer marketing, user-generated content, and brand collaborations.
