Who You Are


You’re a big-picture thinker who can shape a long-term product vision but isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to make it happen. In this role, you’ll work closely with teams across Engineering, Product, Solutions, Client Experience, and Sales to turn client needs and competitive insights into clear, actionable plans. You’ll be the go-to person who understands the product inside and out, keeps a pulse on market trends, and knows exactly where our roadmap is heading. You’ll work directly with clients and internal teams, making sure client pain points are addressed, solutions are validated, and everyone is aligned to execute on our goals. Your job is all about bridging the gap between gathering requirements and delivering real value to drive growth at Ontic.


You’ll also dig into user behavior to help make smarter decisions and refine our strategy. With your ability to think strategically and get things done, you’ll play a key role in keeping Ontic ahead of the competition and delivering solutions that truly make an impact. This role reports directly to the Head of Product Development


Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Enterprise clients to voice product needs and concerns, using active listening, empathy, and clear communication to ensure client requirements are accurately captured and addressed
  • Engage with clients across all pods as a senior leader, addressing challenges, validating solutions, and articulating the product roadmap to foster alignment and build trust
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to product team members, enhancing their understanding of product management principles, best practices, and strategic decision-making
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), representing the product team to highlight progress, address client feedback, and align on future initiatives
  • Conduct market research and gather client feedback to identify key competitive gaps, document pain points, and pinpoint areas for improvement
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the product, market trends, and competitive landscape to shape and communicate a compelling long-term product vision
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Client Experience teams to drive cross-functional initiatives and ensure seamless execution of product strategies
  • Develop and refine the product roadmap by integrating client feedback and business priorities, translating strategic goals into actionable, engineering-ready plans
  • Advocate for client needs by offering innovative solutions and ensuring the product addresses market demands effectively
  • Leverage product insights and client interactions to identify opportunities for growth and market differentiation
  • Gather and prioritize business requirements from internal stakeholders, including Success, Sales Enablement, and Solution teams
  • Translate requirements into well-defined features and user stories, presenting them in a structured format for engineering teams
  • Analyze product usage metrics to identify underutilized areas and implement strategies to drive adoption and maximize platform value


Preferred Qualifications
  • Ten plus years of experience in Product Management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a B2B SaaS environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS product dynamics, including client acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate a strategic product vision, roadmap, and success metrics that align with business goals
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to translate data insights into actionable plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience driving all aspects of the software development lifecycle with development teams - iteration themes, backlog grooming, story mapping, and user story creation  
  • Experience defining/prioritizing detailed product requirements
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams, schedules, and decisions
  • Familiarity with tools like SFDC, Domo, Pendo, JIRA 
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with great follow-through on projects
  • This role requires on-site work at our Austin, Texas office. Preference will be given to candidates who meet this requirement


$180,000 - $200,000 a year
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes a bonus plan, equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Ontic. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
