You will act as primary liaison to the business, coordinating with key executive stakeholders and product heads regarding critical initiatives that align with departmental profitability. The role will lead a team responsible for maintaining disability and absence products and service offerings, managing exceptions, and monitoring competitiveness while serving as subject matter experts and thought leaders to meet both internal and external needs.What you'll be doing- Maintains knowledge on Disability, Absence, PFML and Statutory Disability products and current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.- Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.- Provides subject matter expertise and thought leadership to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders, customers and partners on complex assignments/projects.- Directs/executes approved strategy decisions and contributes to strategy creation.- Strategically defines the vision and success measures for prioritized product offering(s), in collaboration with key business stakeholders.- Provides leadership & expertise to team to drive product suite management, implementation & product life-cycle initiatives.- Assesses value, develops cases, and prioritizes work to ensure proper linkage with the product strategy.- Collaborates with key stakeholders and/or management to gather and support prioritization of product requirements, providing recommendations, as appropriate.- Leads collaboration with internal stakeholders & business partners to develop and manage products & services to meet market & profit expectations.- Identifies & recommends improvements to senior management & leadership; works with business areas to support product initiatives.- Anticipates & provides strategies/solutions to complex issues with team of product heads in order to avoid delays.- Collaborates with various business areas & partners to manage product & profit levers to ensure products meet growth, revenue, expense, profit & persistency expectations.- Balances stakeholder priorities and development team(s) capacity in order to aid in achievable roadmap and delivery targets.- Prioritizes and sequences product backlog according to business value.- Shares expertise and clearly articulates business values to team members.What we're looking forMust Haves:- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)- 10+ Years experience in group insurance or employee benefits with direct expertise in Disability, Absence, PFML and Statutory DisabilityApplication DeadlineApplications for this position will be accepted through Friday, February 28, 2025, subject to earlier closure due to applicant volume.What's it like to work here?At Lincoln Financial Group, we love what we do. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
