Core Digital Media is seeking an experienced, full-time Organic Social Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing content, developing an organic social media strategy, and planning across multiple social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and others. Familiarity with the financial services industry is preferred, as well as previous experience building a social audience.


We are looking for someone that can thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and is excited about the opportunity to build up a new audience.  This person should be ready to create something with minimal oversight and direction, as well as quickly familiarize himself or herself with our brand voice to construct creative social campaigns that are both conversational and thought provoking.  There will also be a strong need for this individual to understand how to write copy and pair it with compelling images that connect directly to Core Digital Media’s various products and offers.


Day 1 of this role: You can expect to dive straight into the world of organic social media management. You will be responsible for managing and posting across all channels for one of our brands, with the goal of growing our following, increasing the total number of views, and boosting the percentage of marketing inquiries coming from organic efforts. You will be expected to familiarize yourself with the brand voice and style, and to quickly begin crafting creative and engaging social media campaigns that align with our goals and resonate with our audience. As a key member of our team, you should be ready to take on this challenge with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement an organic social media strategy that is clearly defined and tailored to each channel.
  • Create eye-catching, educational, shareable content that naturally grows the audience in our key demographic.
  • Consistently represent the brand voice and provide insight on style or voice improvements.
  • Manage the social posting calendar.
  • Respond to customer questions and resolve their issues, engaging in conversations as a real human being.
  • Conduct social media contests and sweepstakes.
  • Monitor all social media channels for brand perception and maintain awareness of brand mentions.
  • Stay ahead of social trends and monitor new social platforms that influence mainstream platforms, recommend emerging channels for expansion.
  • Discover and quickly integrate new social media management tools.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Marketing, Content, and Product to understand, support, and contribute to collective marketing initiatives.
  • Evaluate and adapt the marketing strategy using data analytics and consumer feedback.


Qualifications


  • 3-5 years of experience in organic social management.
  • Experience running paid marketing campaigns with user acquisition objectives (lead generation)
  • Demonstrated ability to pioneer organic social strategy.
  • Experienced video creator and editor with an emphasis on organic social (Willingness to feature themselves in content)
  • Experience establishing a new audience and communicating directly with consumers.
  • Track record of tailoring content to key audiences on major social channels.
  • Expertise in social media analytics and the ability to optimize content based on data.
  • Exceptional writing skills and an intelligent eye for design.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and interact with a social audience.
  • Experience conducting market research and creating timely/breaking news style content.


Bonus/nice-to-have qualifications


  • Demonstrated ability to transition social following to transacting customers.
  • Experience growing brand social media following from ground zero to six figure following. 


$70,000 - $84,000 a year


This position is eligible for an annual bonus as well as additional benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401K, etc.)

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a remote role. You will be required to come in to our LA office (Playa Vista) 2 days per week
