We're looking for talented and passionate individuals to help us change the world one face at a time.How You'll Have An Impact At Paula's ChoiceAs the Director, North America People & Culture, you will be a key strategic partner responsible for leading HR initiatives, programs, and policies across the region. Working closely with the Vice President of Global People & Culture, you will drive the development and implementation of HR strategies for the North America region to support business objectives, foster a positive work culture, and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.What will make you stand out: strategic thinking, excellent judgment, and a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion to drive our business-minded approach. We value individuals with strong critical thinking skills, initiative, and a passion for growth in our fast-paced, expanding organization.As Director, North America People & Culture, a typical day might include a mix of the following:• Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.• Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB): Integrate DEIB practices, promoting an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and supports belonging for all employees.• Organization Design and Effectiveness: Ability to counsel business leaders on organization structure and processes that enable them to achieve business goals and set employees up for success.• Talent Management: Oversee talent acquisition efforts, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure the attraction, retention, and development of top talent. Implement performance and talent management systems and practices to drive employee engagement and growth.• Learning and Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement learning and development practices and programs that enhance employee skills and capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous learning.• Employee Relations: Lead efforts in fostering a positive employee relations climate, providing guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.• Total Rewards and Benefits: In collaboration with VP, People & Culture, manage and optimize compensation, benefits, and rewards programs to attract and retain top talent while ensuring competitiveness within the industry.• Compliance, Payroll and HR Operations: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Oversee HR operations, policies, and procedures, including payroll, HRIS, and data management.• HR Opex Forecasting/Budgeting: Develop, monitor, and manage HR operational expenditures (Opex) and budgets for the North American region. Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for optimizing HR expenditures.• Office Management and Administration: Oversee office operations and administration, ensuring a conducive and efficient work environment. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to manage office facilities, vendor relationships, and health and safety protocols.• Other responsibilities as assigned.The Details• Location: Seattle, WA (Must be located in Seattle or willing to relocate)• On-Site Requirement: This individual must be willing to work on-site at our Seattle office 3 days per week.• Hours: Typical business hours• Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time• Travel requirements: 10-20%What You'll Bring To The Table• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred) and or 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role• Proven functional HR Business Partner expertise and strength in at least one HR specialization• Proven ability to think creatively, innovate, and adapt quickly in a dynamic and global environment• Strong agility in responding to changing business needs and industry trends• Experience and flexibility working in a global organization aligning practices globally while driving locally relevant practices• Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and ability to take ownership of projects• Proactive problem-solver with the capacity to think strategically and execute with precision• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills• Strong understanding of North American employment laws and regulations• Strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and innovationWhat Can Help You Really Stand Out• SHRM or HRCI certification preferred• Experience working in a global organization and/or subsidiary of a larger parent company• Experience in ADP, Greenhouse• Experience in beauty industry or retail• Willingness to travel as neededApproximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:$130,000 - $150,000 USD/annuallyPaula's Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
