We’re seeking a Senior Marketing & Event Manager to direct and own PayNearMe’s event marketing function. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of all event marketing initiatives, including sales trade shows (70%), corporate events (20%), and one-off initiatives (10%). This is a highly visible position that will work cross-functionally with executive staff, sales management, and marketing teams to ensure every event aligns with company goals and delivers measurable impact.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and expert executor with extensive experience in trade show management, vendor relations, and cross-functional planning. They thrive in fast-paced environments, have a strong eye for detail, and are comfortable managing complex event portfolios.

Job Description

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of events across business units, including trade shows, internal meetings, and other events
  • Source and manage an external team of event contractors, and vendors, providing leadership and detailed project management
  • Develop and manage event budgets; track and reconcile expenses ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial success
  • Collaborate with demand gen, brand, marketing operations, sales, and/or leadership teams to ensure alignment across functions, resulting in seamless events
  • Research and recommend new event opportunities to enhance brand visibility and generate revenue opportunity creation
  • Develop new or streamline existing processes to improve planning and execution of tradeshows and events over time
  • Understand success metrics for shows and create mechanisms to measure performance 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align event strategies with overall business goals
  • Evaluate event performance and implement improvements to enhance future events

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in event marketing or a related field, preferably within B2B technology or fintech
  • Strong focus on strategic thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Decisive and practical mindset, able to make informed decisions in critical situations
  • Proven ability to align event strategies with business objectives
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time

Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000
