Location: Regional role with frequent travel to developments including sites in Gloucester, Wiltshire & Oxfordshire

Hours: Full time role working 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + car allowance & enhanced benefits package

About the role

Our Buildings & Communities Managers work regionally managing onsite teams and managing the day to day operations for a portfolio of stunning later living developments. This role is critical in supporting the Pegasus Homes portfolio to create positive, customer experiences and ensuring high quality, well maintained, compliant and well managed buildings.

You will manage, lead and support the area team to embrace every touch point potential customers, our owners and tenants and the public at large may have with our business as well as balance the requirement to monitor and justify spending, ensuring quality and value for money are at the forefront of everything we do.

You will be home based covering a portfolio of circa 6 developments across Gloucester, Wiltshire & Oxfordshire as well as our Jesmond based development in Newcastle. You'll be part of our Customer Operations team that hold regular meetings at our Winchester office so a willingness to travel is essential.

Key responsibilities

  • Operational leadership and line management of on site teams within the defined area in the region, to ensure that operations run smoothly at each of our developments.
  • Ensuring building compliance for each development within the area, ensuring all documentation is kept up to date against both regulatory and statutory requirements and effective reporting is undertaken and delivered.
  • Lead on the mobilisation process to ensure our new sites are ready on time, home user guides have been developed and communicated and team members have been effectively trained so that the operation runs smoothly once our sites are live.
  • Work with our procurement team on procuring services, agreeing the scope of works and reporting on quality of service provided by contractors.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to ensure customers, homeowners and tenants are satisfied with their Pegasus Homes journey, their homes and their communities and have a positive ongoing relationship with us.
  • Handle customer complaints/queries in a timely manner and in line with our customer complaints policy and support the team with other complaints and issues.
  • Contribute to generating new ideas and commercially viable concepts to improve our customer journey.

About you
You'll have relevant property management experience gained within a multi-site environment and a strong understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance. You'll have experience in interpreting and preparing reports and plans including financial reports, budgeting, works scheduling, workload allocation and performance planning.

In addition we are looking for the following skills & experience:

  • Experience in conducting site inspections, ensuring Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and having a good working knowledge in building maintenance systems
  • Experience in handling customer complaints and managing difficult conversations
  • Extensive leadership experience, leading a team across multiple sites
  • Experienced in the management and delivery of comprehensive and transparent service charges
  • Confident and commercially aware with excellent communication skills
  • Property related qualification such as IRPM
  • This is a regionally based role with frequent travel so a full UK driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
