IT Application Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

 

Pivot Energy is seeking a dynamic IT Application Manager to lead the implementation and maintenance of seamless data integration and efficient workstreams across various software systems that enable solar project development. This position holds a unique opportunity to onboard the company onto a new enterprise software system. This role will collaborate heavily with teams across Pivot Energy and responsibilities will span project management, system implementation and integrations, business process analysis, vendor relations, and user training.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Management:
  • Lead and oversee IT projects across several SaaS applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure successful project execution and adherence to deadlines.

  • System Integrations and APIs:
  • Identify opportunities to unify data flows between different applications (e.g., construction project management tools, CRM systems, financial software).
  • Develop and maintain APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  • troubleshoot integration issues and optimize data synchronization.

  • Business Process Analysis:
  • Analyze existing workflows and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Document and communicate process changes effectively.

  • Requirements Gathering:
  • Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements.
  • Translate requirements into actionable plans for development and configuration.
  • Partner with business leaders to propose technical solutions to complex problems.

  • Vendor Management:
  • Assess software needs of business stakeholders
  • Research and recommend suitable applications and third-party support contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements.
  • Coordinate software implementation and upgrades.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and oversee their performance.

  • User Training and Communication:
  • Proactively communicate expectations and project progress to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions.
  • Ensure that team members understand software features and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and address user inquiries.

  • Work Queue Management / Supervision:
  • Manage prioritization of incoming requests from internal end users.
  • Delegate tasks to yourself, other team members, or third-party support contractors.
  • Coordinate quality testing and release scheduling.


REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in IT project management, application implementation, integration and customization.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to take initiative.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to building frameworks or processes that support organizational goals.


PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile development certification.
  • Familiarity with the solar industry.
  • Experience with Salesforce.


$85,000 - $140,000 a year
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$140,000 depending on relevant experience, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in the first year based on start date).
