Company Description

MTB, a PS Logistics company, was established in April 2013 with a focus on servicing the construction, oil, gas, ductile pipe, steel and building material industries in the Southeast, Midwest and Eastern regions.

Our current fleet consists of 100% flatbed and company drivers.

We run semi dedicated routes and over the road type freight, depending on the driver’s location and needs. And as we continue to grow our fleet, we’re looking to hire company drivers in most all regions.

An MTB driver can expect competitive pay and benefits, and to be home most every weekend, but at least 3 weekends each month.

We provide drivers with great equipment, as well as all required accessories to operate safely — tarps, chains, straps, coil racks and timbers.

Job Description

To be successful as a Load Planner, one must be able to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining the responsibility for scheduling every inbound truck with an available load in your area. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Schedule trucks to meet daily plant capacity
  • Ensure carriers and drivers meet all PPE requirements for each plant
  • Communicate with inside sales, shipping superintendent, and supply chain managers daily
  • Provide timely customer service on any requests
  • Negotiate competitive contract pricing with carriers
  • Onboard new carriers as needed
  • Send daily reports to plants
  • Monitor and track carrier KPIs
  • Utilize MercuryGate to ensure carrier compliance with load updating and invoicing
  • Review and send weekly invoices to plants
  • Keep shared tracking files up to date
  • Update and organize company-shared drive 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year accredited college or university (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task, and have a great interpersonal skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in transportation, operations, or safety is a plus!
  • Strong ability to problem solve and work well under pressure
