These products include the ObjectAda and ApexAda families of native and embedded compiler products for the Ada programming language. ObjectAda products are hosted on Windows and Linux. ApexAda products are hosted on Unix operating systems (such as Solaris) and Linux. Both product lines are developed in C/C++ and Ada. ApexAda embedded compiler products support the Linux, VxWorks, LynxOS, and ApexAda RExec real-time operating systems on Intel, PowerPC, and Arm processors.As a member of the Ada product development team, responsibilities of thisPrincipal Software Engineer position would include:• Implementation of product enhancements (compilers, native and embedded runtime libraries)• Performing regular product builds• Product release testing, release engineering, release management• Diagnosis of Ada compiler issues received from customers• Implementation of maintenance updates for existing releases• Maintenance of development system infrastructure (some hardware and software maintenance)• Assist with providing Customer Technical Support services for PTC Developer Tools productsAdditional Job Description:• Minimum Education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent• Minimum Prior Experience requirement: 5 years professional software developmentPTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate’s background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $140,000 - $150,000. The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus.
