DescriptionPOSITION DESCRIPTION:The Manager, Training and Development (Compliance) will lead the creation, coordination, and delivery of corporate training programs, with a focus on regulatory compliance and employee development. This role will develop training strategies, manage content, and monitor compliance training requirements within the solar lending industry, working closely with the Compliance Manager and other department heads, including the Chief Compliance Officer. The ideal candidate will ensure that compliance training remains timely, relevant, and engaging for all employees.This position may be remote or based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Teaneck, NJ, with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures.RESPONSIBILITIESTraining Program Development & Content Creation• Research, design, and develop compliance-focused training content tailored to the solar lending industry.• Work with department managers within Compliance to identify training needs and implement programs that enhance employee understanding of regulatory requirements and foster compliance culture.• Create training materials that leverage adult learning principles and accommodate various learning styles.Compliance Training Coordination & Delivery• Coordinate required compliance training programs to ensure all employees, including new hires, complete training on schedule.• Utilize diverse delivery methods (e-learning, in-person, hybrid) to maximize engagement and retention.• Enforce training completion deadlines, following up with managers and escalating issues of non-compliance as needed.Collaboration with Compliance and Human Resources• Partner with Compliance and HR to align training schedules, policies, and reporting needs.• Develop notification and reminder systems to ensure employees are informed of upcoming compliance training deadlines and certification requirements.Tracking, Reporting & Compliance Metrics• Maintain accurate training records, tracking completion rates, certification statuses, and assessment results.• Generate compliance training reports for leadership and regulatory bodies, providing insights into participation, effectiveness, and compliance adherence.• Continuously evaluate training outcomes through metrics, surveys, and feedback, adjusting content and delivery as necessary to meet evolving requirements.Best Practices and Continuous Improvement• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in compliance training, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of effective learning strategies.• Recommend new tools, platforms, and approaches to enhance training delivery and engagement.• Conduct periodic reviews and updates of all training materials to reflect regulatory changes and compliance best practices.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in education, compliance, business administration or a related field.• 5-10 years of corporate training experience with a focus on compliance or regulatory topics, ideally within financial services or lending is preferred.• Proficiency in developing training programs across multiple formats (in-person, e-learning, hybrid).• Strong project management skills, with a focus on scheduling, tracking, and reporting.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.• Certifications in corporate training, learning and development, or compliance are desirable.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Familiarity with solar industry compliance standards.• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning software, such as BAI.• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to interpret training metrics and compliance data.• A proactive, problem-solving mindset focused on continuous improvement and training effectiveness.Hanwha Q CELLS America Inc.
