Consumer Marketing & Research Manager

Join the quip team as a Consumer Marketing & Research Manager, where you'll blend empathy with data insight to deeply understand our consumers and make a significant impact in the oral care industry.We're looking for someone with a fresh perspective and a knack for consumer insights to support our ambitious goals in this dynamic market. In this role, you'll assist in guiding our marketing and product strategies by understanding and interpreting consumer habits and market trends by seeking to understand our consumers using empathy and data (quantitative and qualitative). Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, you'll play a crucial role in helping quip stay ahead in the innovative world of oral care.

Base Salary: 100 - 110k

This range represents anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits and equity (as applicable). We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gain a deep understanding of our consumer segments, analyzing their attitudes, behaviors, and values to anticipate shifts in market trends.
  • Assist in synthesizing and presenting insights to internal teams, ensuring that recommendations are based on sound data and market understanding.
  • Contribute to our brand and product strategy by identifying consumer insights that highlight opportunities for innovation and competitive differentiation.
  • Help translate business needs into research objectives, contributing to market research projects that provide actionable insights.
  • Support collaborations with our brand marketing, hardware, and sales teams to enhance product offerings and customer experiences.
  • Play a part in refining and improving our processes for gathering and analyzing consumer and market insights.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years related work experience. DTC brand experience preferred. 
  • Empathetic Data Analyst: You combine empathy with data insights to uncover deep understanding of consumer needs and behaviors.
  • Naturally Curious: You have a keen interest in going beyond the obvious to understand consumer behaviors and market dynamics.
  • Insightfully Knowledgeable: You develop expertise and generate actionable insights, with a commitment to objectivity, even when they challenge beliefs.
  • Effective Communicator: You are able to clearly present insights and data, turning information into understandable and actionable narratives.
  • Team Collaborator: You are eager to work within a team environment, contributing to a dynamic and supportive culture.
  • Research Savvy: You are comfortable with research tools and methodologies, with experience or interest in brand and consumer insights.
  • Professional Growth: You want to grow your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Who You'll Work With:

  • Directly reporting to the Director of Product Marketing.
  • Collaborating with various teams across the company including marketing, hardware, and sales.
