Data Director (On Site - Washington, DC)

Rational 360 is hiring a talented, detail-obsessed Data Director with a passion for data and public affairs to join its quickly growing digital team in its DC office.

The Data Director will work with internal teams to manage data operations and implement data-driven strategies that support client goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with personally identifiable information (PII), experience with voter files, and familiarity with commercial databases for data enrichment. Additionally, the candidate will ideally have experience in advertising platforms, including preparing data for onboarding with tools like LiveRamp, SEMcasting, and others.

  • Managing and analyzing data to support digital campaigns and public affairs initiatives
  • Collaborating with internal teams and clients to deliver data solutions that align with business and public affairs goals
  • Assisting in the development of strategies leveraging data to inform campaigns, enhance outreach, and measure success
  • Identifying trends, insights, and opportunities through data analysis to improve digital and advertising performance
  • Working with the voter file and commercial databases to enrich data and derive actionable insights
  • Creating dashboards and visualizations based on campaign performance, including CRM data
  • Supporting data integration across platforms and ensuring compatibility with tools and client systems

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, data analysis, or digital marketing operations
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data-cleaning functions. Experience with SQL preferred
  • Experience working with personally identifiable information (PII), either through the voter file data or commercial databases like Acxiom and Experian
  • Experience working with data in CRMs like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Iterable
  • Knowledge of advertising platforms and experience preparing data for onboarding into tools like LiveRamp
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to derive insights from complex data sets
  • Familiarity with data security protocols and best practices for handling sensitive information
  • Experience supporting digital campaigns, including audience segmentation and targeting
  • Interest and ability in creating and managing data systems and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey data insights and strategy
  • Bachelor's Degree

Rational 360 offers competitive compensation including year-end bonuses and a 401K match for full-time employees. Full-time staff members are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance. The salary range for this role is $82,500 - $98,000.

We offer employees paid time off, paid holidays off, paid family leave, sick leave, and a flexible work schedule around the holidays which include the office closing between Christmas and New Year's Day.

Full-time employees are expected to work in our Washington, DC office Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week and have the option to work remotely each Tuesday and Friday. Additionally, employees can take up to two (2) additional weeks of remote workdays during the calendar year.

Employees have the opportunity to continue to grow their skills with professional development in the office or remotely. Rational 360 hosts weekly all-staff professional development trainings led by a leader at Rational 360 or by an expert brought in from outside of Rational 360 to lead the trainings.

Each employee is paired with a senior member of the management team at Rational which will serve as his or her mentor throughout the year to continue to grow in his or her career at Rational.

Rational 360 has a 3-month check-in for all new employees, a 6-month review, and an annual review for each year the employee is at Rational 360.
