Job DescriptionThe Red Gate Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Database Administrator to support the mission-critical operations of the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Privacy, Civil Liberties, and Transparency (OATSD(PCLT)). This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to governance, enterprise risk management, and compliance across Department of Defense (DoD) programs that safeguard privacy, civil liberties, and transparency.As a Database Administrator, you will manage and optimize web-based resource libraries, governance tools, and records management systems, ensuring the seamless functionality of vital data systems. Your efforts will enhance mission delivery, streamline data access, and maintain compliance with federal and DoD standards.Key Responsibilities• Database Development & Management: Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive resource libraries and web portals for critical OATSD(PCLT) divisions. Implement customized solutions for software and systems to enhance functionality and user accessibility.• Governance & Tracking: Maintain strategic governance calendars and initiative tracking systems, providing accurate and timely updates on key departmental activities.• Records Management: Oversee records archiving, security, and manipulation for both physical and digital formats. Support legal matters through eDiscovery, FOIA requests, and litigation data organization.• Event Coordination: Assist in planning, promoting, and managing events, such as conferences and meetings, providing logistical support, venue coordination, and post-event communications.• Technical Training & Support: Develop and deliver training materials, guides, and seminars. Facilitate discussions and support curriculum development for OATSD(PCLT) missions using best practices in adult learning.• Website & SharePoint Administration: Manage and update public-facing websites and SharePoint sites, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and user engagement. Provide recommendations for improvement and maintain content alignment with organizational goals.• Policy Support: Assist in drafting and recommending revisions to DoD policies and training programs. Contribute to the preparation and dissemination of reports, presentations, and educational resources.
