MBA Business Development Intern

About ReKlame Health

Sixty million adults experience mental health challenges in the United States, yet one-third lack access to proper care. Opioid overdose is the number one cause of death for people under 50 in the United States.

We are a clinician-led, tech-enabled provider group that exists to provide culturally competent behavioral health care addiction care, medication management, crisis intervention, and care coordination for people working towards taking back control of their lives, while expanding access to care.

Our vision at ReKlame Health is to create a future where individuals who have historically been unable to access the care they deserve can readily obtain high-quality behavioral health and addiction care.

At ReKlame Health, it goes beyond mere employment; it's about becoming a part of a formidable movement transcending individuality. Let's unite and forge a world where health equity and effortless access to exceptional mental healthcare can co-exist.

About the Role

ReKlame Health is looking for an ambitious and driven MBA Business Development Intern to join our team and play a pivotal role in expanding our footprint in government contracting and fostering public-sector partnerships. This internship offers the unique opportunity to be at the forefront of initiatives that directly impact access to culturally competent behavioral health and addiction care.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the CEO to identify and pursue opportunities with government agencies, including state-level RFPs, public health programs, and partnerships with entities like the MTA. You’ll have the chance to develop new markets, draft winning proposals, and contribute strategic insights, all while gaining in-depth exposure to the intersection of healthcare, government policy, and innovation.

This hands-on experience goes beyond typical internships by allowing you to collaborate directly with leaders across clinical, product, and operations teams, ensuring your work has a tangible impact on the organization’s mission and growth.

This is a summer internship, which will begin on June 1, 2025 and end on August 31, 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Research: Identify and evaluate potential government contracting and partnership opportunities, including state and local RFPs, transportation agencies, public health programs, and other government initiatives.

  • Proposal Development: Work with leadership to draft compelling proposals, RFIs, and other documentation tailored to the specific requirements of government contracts.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of government trends and priorities to inform strategic decisions and identify alignment with ReKlame Health’s offerings.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, product, and leadership teams to ensure alignment and optimize proposals for success.

  • Compliance and Tracking: Develop and maintain tracking systems to ensure timely submissions and adherence to compliance requirements for government contracts.

  • Relationship Building: Assist in fostering connections with key decision-makers, agency representatives, and other stakeholders to establish strong foundations for future contracts.

  • Strategic Input: Provide insights and recommendations for improving ReKlame Health’s readiness and positioning for government contracting opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently enrolled in or graduated from a MBA program with a focus on healthcare or related fields.

  • Experience: Previous exposure to or coursework in government contracting, RFP development, or public-private partnerships is a plus.

  • Public Sector Knowledge: Understanding government structures, procurement processes, and public health systems is highly desirable.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail in documentation, compliance, and proposal development.

  • Analytical Expertise: Strong ability to explore new markets, analyze trends, and translate findings into actionable strategies.

  • Familiarity with AI Tools: Essential for leveraging data analysis, streamlining proposal processes, and optimizing business strategies.

  • GRIT: Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with shifting priorities.

  • Organization: Self-starter with a proactive, well-organized approach to managing multiple responsibilities effectively.

  • Passion: A genuine interest in the intersection of healthcare, government policy, and public-sector innovation.

What You’ll Gain

  • Opportunity for Impact: Play a critical role in advancing ReKlame Health’s efforts to secure government contracts and public-sector partnerships. Through your work, you’ll help create pathways to delivering culturally competent mental health services to communities in need, amplifying our mission of health equity.

  • Skill Development: Gain hands-on experience in government contracting, proposal writing, and navigating complex public-sector processes. You’ll sharpen your market analysis skills, develop strategies to engage with state and local agencies, and learn how to craft compelling RFPs and proposals.

  • Strategic Leadership Exposure: Work directly with senior leadership, including our Strategy & Growth Lead, clinical teams, and the CEO. Get a front-row seat to the strategic decision-making process and contribute to shaping the organization’s approach to new market opportunities and government engagement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with diverse teams across operations, product, and clinical departments to ensure proposals and initiatives align with organizational goals. This collaborative experience will enhance your ability to work across disciplines in a dynamic environment.

  • Professional Growth & Networking: Build connections with influential public-sector stakeholders and industry leaders, while benefiting from mentorship and guidance within ReKlame Health. This role provides not only learning opportunities but also the chance to establish a strong network in both healthcare and government sectors.

  • Real-World Experience in Public-Sector Innovation: Work on meaningful, real-time projects that challenge conventional approaches to mental healthcare. Your contributions will directly influence ReKlame Health's readiness and positioning to expand through public-sector initiatives.
