Join our dynamic and growing team as a Purchasing Intern, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting key initiatives in purchasing and gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of supply chain operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing Reviews:

·       Assisting in the R&D of new projects by conducting data gathering and research at the conceptual stage.

·       This involves comparing various technologies to determine which ones meet our requirements and evaluating their pros and cons (such as price, technical maturity, and supplier availability).

 

Supplier Engagement Experience:

When led by a seasoned purchaser, there will be opportunities to visit local supplier factories/premises, which will provide you with:

·       Insights into negotiating prices effectively.

·       Understanding of methodology for enhancing quality control.

 

Manufacturing Insight Visits:

Occasional visits to our collaborative factories in Malaysia, which will provide opportunities to:

·       Gain insights into inventory management and optimization practices within the factory (Including stock-take).

·       Understand the utilization of equipment in electronics manufacturing, production processes, and the assembly of components into finished products, offering an overview of how electronic factories operate.

 

Skills & Requirements:

·       Pursuing a Diploma in Supply Chain, Business Systems, or a related field.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Meticulous attention to detail is essential for this role

·       Proactive and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

·       Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant Microsoft Office tools.

·       Basic understanding of ERP systems and related principles will be an added advantage
