This position is remote and the applicant can reside anywhere within the U.S. but must be able to travel to SAIC facilities (Reston, VA and Washington D.C.) and FAA customer facilities (Washington, D.C. and Atlantic City, NJ) on an as-needed basis.As a senior cloud engineer you would be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems and solutions to meet FAA customer needs. Position involves a mix of infrastructure management, software development, and system architecture. Individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of cloud solutions, optimize system performance, and enhance operational efficiency.Responsibilities:• Monitors system performance and availability, ensuring high uptime.• Optimizes cloud resources to balance performance and cost-effectiveness.• Works closely with developers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to integrate cloud solutions.• Proposes and implements enhancements to existing cloud systems.QualificationsQualifications and Skills:• Bachelors degree and five (5) years or more of related experience; Masters and seven (3) years or more of related experience• Experience managing applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google cloud.• The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.Desired Qualifications and Skills:• Experience working on an Agile development team.• Knowledge and use of low-code/no-code data analytics and data science tools (Tableau, Dataiku, Cloud AI tools).• History working with the FAA or DOT data.Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000.
