Space Operations Support Specialist

About the RoleSAIC is seeking a highly skilled professional to provide support to the United States Space Force Headquarters Space Operations Command (USSF HQSpOC). As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the operational units by providing research, analysis, and planning for existing programs and integrating future concepts. Your expertise will be essential in supporting all HQ functions, including operations, requirements, and the Planning Programming Budgeting and Execution Program Objective Memorandum process.Responsibilities• Conduct detailed research and analysis to assess current capabilities and develop current and future strategies.• Integrate and evaluate analysis on adversary capabilities and their impact on current and future operational programs.• Collaborate with internal and external organizations, such as Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Space Security and Defense Program(SSDP), USSF Pentagon Elements, USSF Operational Units, Combatant Commands (COCOM), Intelligence Community (IC), and various research and development organizations.• Support the integrated Space Control Mission Area Team.• Assist in the preparation of HQ USSF Space Control POM submissions.• Develop strategic plans and provide operational support for the execution of USSF Wargames.• Analyze issues requiring HQ SpOC interpretation, position, or decision and report findings through clear graphs, presentations, and written reports.• Provide analysis support to review policy, strategies, doctrine, law, and regulations in support of HQ SpOC operations.RequirementsThis is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in space control operational experience, preferably with 5+ years of related experience. You should possess excellent presentation skills and experience interfacing with senior government officials. Proficiency with MS Office, NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, NMIS, and SGN is also required.Desired Qualifications• Previous experience or familiarity with the following areas:• Space Control Operational Unit Experience• HQ AFSPC Staff (MAJCOM Staff)• COCOM Planning and Operations• Operational Planning (OPLAN, CONPLAN development)• Operational support within the IC (NRO)Estimated Salary Range$80,001 - $120,000
