Analyst, Business & Product Analysis

About the Role:

The Team: EDM is a data management platform for acquiring, validating and distributing trade, operational, risk, financial and customer data. The team is located across several different countries and time zones, all working together to deliver a great product.  Our team values each member’s contributions, supporting one another in understanding challenges and developing solutions.


Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Work with customers, field organizations and other PMs across our vertical businesses to capture product requirements and feedback

  • Create use cases, requirements, and user stories for product development.

  • Participate in Daily Scrum Calls and Regular Planning Sessions

  • Assist in Documentation of Release Notes and Software Support

  • Help Plan Product Roadmaps and Product Strategy

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $92,184to $130,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of software product management or technical product management experience required.

  • Technical background, with experience in software development projects.

  • Exceptional communicator, with strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communications skills

  • Worked in an agile environment with agile tools and platforms (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps)

  • Soft skills

    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

    • Problem solving – The candidate will be required to work with 3rd party software as well as our own.  Being able to understand data workflows, decide on the best course of action, and deliver solutions is a key skill for this position

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Energy industry operational experience

  • ETL / MDM / Data Management experience

  • Soft skills

    • Ability to listen – The position requires being able to understand differing viewpoints, at a technical or functional level, as well as provide input.  Being able to not just hear, but listen and paraphrase other’s opinions is a key part of effective communication

    • Experience with cross-functional teams working together across multiple locations/sites
