About The RoleGrade Level (for internal use):14About The Role/The TeamThe U.S. & Canada Property/Casualty, Reinsurance, & Insurance Services team is responsible for maintaining ratings on more than 100 of the largest entities across these subsectors. We are seeking a highly experienced analyst to fill the role of Sector Lead and to work alongside the approximately 20 analysts on the team covering these subsectors.Responsibilities and Impact: The Sector Lead is expected to lead the team’s market facing interactions with key constituents, including Insurance management teams, investors, and regulators. He/she also plays a key role in driving our analytics of the sector—interacting regularly with the entire analytical team, as well as with peers globally and across other asset classes--to ensure that S&P Global Ratings maintains its market leading analytical coverage of this systemically important sector.• Actively participate in investor roundtables and industry conferences to carry S&P Global Ratings’ perspective to the market and ensure our relevance• Develop key topics for industry commentaries with a forward looking and insightful mindset; lead the drafting and publication of these thought leadership pieces• Serve as primary analyst for a small group of high-profile Insurance companies• Partner with the Analytical Manager and other senior analysts on the team to exercise analytical oversight across the full portfolio of credits covered in the region• Ensure that global credit considerations and S&P Global’ s economists’ views are incorporated into our ratings with accuracy and in a consistent manner• Support, coach, and train junior analysts on the teamCompensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $152,600 to $250,000.
