Sprout Social is looking to hire a Senior Channel Marketing Manager to the Marketing team.

What you’ll do


  • Work closely with the sales, partnerships and enterprise marketing teams to align channel marketing efforts with revenue goals and priorities
  • Partner closely with our product marketing team to create and deliver training programs to educate channel partners on product features, benefits, and joint value messages
  • Develop and execute channel-specific marketing campaigns that drive partner engagement, awareness and partner driven revenue for sales. Specifically, build a Sprout Partner Program that enables agencies and SIs to grow their businesses through referrals and additional services they can offer through Sprout.
  • Tailor campaigns to resonate with different partner types and their respective target audiences.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of channel marketing campaigns and programs, using data to make informed decisions.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead generation, pipeline attribution, and partner engagement.
  • Plan and execute partner-focused events, such as workshops, webinars, lunch and learns, and work in collaboration with our events team on co-sponsored trade shows.


What you’ll bring


The Senior Channel Marketing Manager plays a key role in building and executing our partner focused marketing strategy across Sprout’s channel ecosystem including agencies, Salesforce, system integrators, resellers and technology partners. We’re looking for someone who can build foundational partner marketing programs across multiple partner types as well as a deeply personalized co-marketing strategy for key partners like Salesforce. Our dream candidate has experience building both deep and wide channel marketing programs attracting partners into a thriving ecosystem, excels at working cross-functionally across our sales, marketing, and partnership teams, and loves both building from scratch and iterating on current programmatic elements. They are skilled at building partner enablement communications, creating integrated co-marketing programs, hosting events and building deep and trusted relationships with their partner counterparts. 


You’re a true partner to our sales org and work closely across Rev Ops, AEs, BDRs and the Enterprise marketing team to design programs, processes and enablement that feed our funnel and open opportunities. You’re a big thinker who is never afraid to take risks, go big and use every resource at your disposal to get the attention of our accounts. 


The minimum qualifications for this role include:


  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in a B2B Saas Marketing experience with a minimum of 4 years focused channel or partnership marketing aligned role. 
  • Proficiency in developing and executing partner focused marketing strategies, including demand generation, lead nurturing, and brand awareness campaigns.
  • Familiarity with channel partner ecosystems and an understanding of how to effectively manage and collaborate with partners.
  • Deep understanding of tailoring your marketing approach to different audiences including industry-specific messages, marketing and customer success personas as well as decision maker and practitioner. 


Preferred qualifications for this role include:


  • Experience working in the Salesforce partner ecosystem
  • Experience with martech tools including: Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Reachdesk, 6Sense


How you’ll grow


Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:


  • Complete your initial onboarding in order to familiarize yourself with our product, tools, processes and people in order to help inform your initial prioritization and projects. 
  • Partnering with your manager to define key success metrics for your role and how you will measure against them.
  • Use data and systems to identify your initial partner programs and work in tandem with sales and marketing leadership to align on your approach. 
  • Building relationships with your counterparts in sales, partnerships and marketing
  • Gain a deep understanding of the company's products, target audience, value proposition, and competitive landscape.


Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:


  • Have a clear understanding of the company’s channel marketing landscape, established relationships with key stakeholders and partners, and contributed to the development and execution of initial channel marketing programs. 
  • Assess current partnerships to gather feedback on their marketing needs and challenges as well as identify opportunities for expanded collaboration.
  • Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders to plan initial joint marketing programs that align with the overall channel marketing strategy with clearer campaign goals, defined KPIs, and established timelines.
  • Set up tracking mechanisms to monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and partner engagement.
  • Collect feedback from partners and internal stakeholders on the effectiveness of initial initiatives and strategies in order to make iterative improvements to channel marketing activities.


Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:


  • Becoming an engrained member of our cross-functional partner strategy team building plans and programs to accelerate our partner co-marketing programs and revenue opportunities. 
  • Deepen relationships with existing channel partners and work to expand the network by identifying and engaging with new strategic partners.
  • Execute and oversee joint marketing campaigns with partners, ensuring campaigns are executed smoothly and deliver desired results.
  • Expand the library of marketing content and resources available to partners, ensuring that the content is tailored to different stages of the sales cycle and resonates with various industries and audiences.
  • Dive deeper into data analysis, tracking more specific metrics related to partner performance, campaign effectiveness, and lead conversion.
  • Constantly evolving your channel marketing strategy as you roll out best in class partnership programs - adding in personalized experiential moments, engaging content, and creative social outreach. 


Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:


  • Be the subject matter expert on our partners and winning co-marketing strategies in order to inform and influence the programs of our sales, marketing and product counterparts. 
  • Build out our long term channel strategy- outlining future state channel marketing strategies that span beyond our current programs, considering the evolution of our market, trends and partner needs.
  • Have successfully expanded our partner network by working closely with new strategic partners who contribute to increased market reach and revenue opportunities as well as built established relationships with existing partners to foster loyalty and growth.
  • Demonstrating tangible program and revenue results and are providing strategic direction and insights to internal and external collaborators.

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. The base pay range for this role is $103,700 - $155,500 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives. 


Sprout’s compensation ranges are intentionally broad to allow for our team members' growth within their role. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.


Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays.
