Campaign Marketing Manager

About us

At Sierra, we’re building a platform to enable every company in the world to build their own autonomous AI agents for everything from customer service to commerce. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco.

We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and Family. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.

Our co-founders are Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor. Bret was most recently co-CEO of Salesforce, which had previously acquired the company he founded, Quip. Before founding Quip, Bret was the CTO of Facebook. Bret was one of Google's earliest product managers and one of the co-creators of Google Maps. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

What you'll do:

  • Campaign design. Quarterback campaigns to ensure we are engaging audiences with thoughtful and effective content, experiences, and events at each stage of the funnel, from awareness to close. Comfortable crafting multi-channel campaign plans that include: paid social, content syndication, email, and events. Experience with brand tactics such as podcasts, out-of-home advertising, and CTV a plus.

  • Campaign execution. Manage agencies and vendors, budget, and execution. Ensure we have the right target lists, messaging, and audience-tailored content across channels. Partner with our Brand team and our Creative Agency to ensure we develop the right content (in the right formats) to make Sierra shine. Partner with our Operations team to track and report on metrics to gauge impact.

  • Campaign operations. Manage lead capture, lead nurture, follow-up, and retargeting. Create campaigns in our CRM, draft emails in our marketing automation system, build landing pages in our CMS (with the help of a web developer), and ensure we are constantly coordinated with our sales teams to deliver a smooth and seamless customer experience.

  • Marketing Generalist. We are a small team with big goals. At this early stage, we will each flex and contribute across a variety of channels and activations - from launches and keynote development to sales enablement and customer stories.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience.

  • Excellent project management and organization skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has a proven track record of executing campaigns across multiple channels.

  • Strategic problem solver with strong analytical skills. Able to synthesize data into meaningful campaign insights and optimize strategies for new and existing initiatives

  • Experience managing agencies and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including  paid media agencies/contractors, creative agencies/contractors, web developers, etc.

  • Expertise in Salesforce and Hubspot and familiarity with web analytics tools, digital marketing and demand generation tools and vendors.

  • Expertise building beautiful presentations using Google Slides and Keynote.

  • A strong understanding or previous experience marketing to our core-buyers (CX, IT, Product, Ops) and across key-industries (Retail, Media/Telecommunications, Financial Services, Travel + Hospitality).

Sample projects:

  • In partnership with the Campaigns Lead:

    • Manage our paid media agency– finding ways to deploy new tactics while optimizing existing ones.

    • Develop and manage our first email nurture.

    • Create a “campaign in a box”—launch our first industry campaign and then scale.

  • In partnership with the content + PMM team, own demand gen and program execution for our first-ever webinar series. This could involve working within our webinar platform and CMS to ensure the entire registration, go-live, and post-event experience is smooth for attendees.

  • In partnership with the Events Lead, support third party events/tradeshows.

Our values

  • Trust: We build trust with our customers with our accountability, empathy, quality, and responsiveness. We build trust in AI by making it more accessible, safe, and useful. We build trust with each other by showing up for each other professionally and personally, creating an environment that enables all of us to do our best work.

  • Customer Obsession: We deeply understand our customers’ business goals and relentlessly focus on driving outcomes, not just technical milestones. Everyone at the company knows and spends time with our customers. When our customer is having an issue, we drop everything and fix it.

  • Craftsmanship: We get the details right, from the words on the page to the system architecture. We have good taste. When we notice something isn’t right, we take the time to fix it. We are proud of the products we produce. We continuously self-reflect to continuously self-improve.

  • Intensity: We know we don’t have the luxury of patience. We play to win. We care about our product being the best, and when it isn’t, we fix it. When we fail, we talk about it openly and without blame so we succeed the next time.

  • Family: We know that balance and intensity are compatible, and we model it in our actions and processes. We are the best technology company for parents. We support and respect each other and celebrate each other’s personal and professional achievements.
