We are looking for an Environmental Health and Safety Regional Manager for Sika manufacturing plants in Philadelphia and South New Jersey area.  It will be the responsibility of the person holding this position to ensure that Sika's companies are in compliance with the requirements of OSHA Health and Safety, Environmental Protections Agency, and RCRA, (Emergency Planning and Right to Know) and state regulation

Job Description

Regulatory Compliance / Standards / Systems

  • Enable and ensure facilities to full compliance to local, state, and federal regulations, Sika US Requirements, and Sika Global Requirements.
  • Coordinate all Industrial Hygiene activities
  • Audit (Program Spot Check) EHS facilities using established protocols / tools
  • Ensure all regulatory reporting is completed (OSHA, EPA, Local)
  • Support contractor qualifications (EMR, RIR, Program – reviews)
  • Support Acquisitions – Integration Plans and Assurance to Requirements
  • Review MOCs or Capital Project for EHS
  • Support of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Initiatives
  • Prepare, Participate and assist site with Corporate EHS Audits
  • Power users of Gensuite, HIS, and Sphera
  • Lead (or Prep Sites) OSHA / EPA / State Inspections

Training

  • Conduct more complex EHS Training
  • Be train the trainer to site leadership for routine EHS training topics
  • Directly assist site(s) to develop an annual EHS training plan.
  • Train all new supervisors and managers on safety leadership
  • Identify personal training professional development needs.

Functional Expertise / SME / Leadership & Influence

  • Participate in Annual EHS Planning with Clusters
  • Issue Identification (Local, State, Regional) Regs or Codes
  • Facilitate significant SPHERA events (LTA, NFA/SIF) using RCA tool
  • Assist Acquisitions for EHS
  • Lead Injury Management
  • Support site turnarounds or shutdowns or significant maintenance
  • Support/Attend Insurance Inspections and Corrective Actions
  • Process Safety – support Regional Lead and Sites
  • Support Community of Practices
  • Understand and Administer EHS Corporate / Regulatory Initiatives
  • Support Site/Cluster in Leading KPIs
  • Proficient in Behavior Based Safety
  • Systems Power Users (HSI, GENSUITE, SkillSoft, SPHERA)

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree Required

Experience

3 years of experience in a Manufacturing EHS role.

Computer Skills

Must have Intermediate/Advanced computer skills.
