The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing the overall relationships in their branch and market area. This includes but is not limited to driving sales and service while managing the daily operations of the branch. The Relationship Manager leads a team that acquires, retains, and expands new and existing member relationships. This is accomplished by working collaboratively with credit union leaders, providing leadership to staff, developing staff through observations/one-on-one coaching, and training all staff. This individual will also evaluate performance measures, while always ensuring a high level of member service. Represent the credit union in a manner that maintains and expands relationships with members and employees.
Responsible for sales goals and member experience for the branch as well as leading a team that grows new and existing relationships by offering solutions to best meet member needs. Lead a team that provides exceptional member service with a high level of professionalism through training and coaching.
Hires, Schedules, supervises, coaches, and motivates branch staff to meet or exceed set goals and service standards. Exercises authority concerning staffing and managing the performance appraisal process for the branch.
Communicates with credit union leadership and offers strategic feedback and recommendations to help grow market share for the branch in the community.
Assist members and employees in any function in the branch and complete all tasks as assigned.
Maintains control of operations and audit procedures in the branch to minimize risk and losses.
ExperienceMust have at least three years demonstrated experience in leading and developing a results-driven program and staff management (preferably within a retail or financial services environment).
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours, or work experience equivalent to a two-year college degree.
Interpersonal Skills
The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position. A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

ADA Requirements Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise.

Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
