A famous media & editorial brand is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer with experience in editorial design and layout to join its creative team in Washington, DC. This role focuses on designing and producing layouts for print and digital publications, collaborating with editorial, photography, and production teams to create visually compelling content.Onsite in Washington, DC, Monday–Thursday; remote on Fridays.Work hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM.Rate: $30/hrResponsibilities:Design and produce layouts for magazines, bookazines, and special issues.Collaborate with editors, photographers, and illustrators to develop engaging visual storytelling.Ensure designs align with brand identity and editorial guidelines.Manage production tasks, including preflight and color proofing.Maintain production schedules in coordination with design managers.Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in editorial or publication design.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).Strong understanding of typography and layout principles.Experience with digital storytelling and UX design is a plus.Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field preferred.If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.The Solomon Page Distinction Solomon Page offers a comprehensive benefit program for hourly employees.
