About the Role

Skills:

Kubernetes, Node.js, Python, React, TypeScript, Redshift, PostgreSQL

You will play a critical role in building our platform, driving the technical direction of our company. This is a hands-on position that will involve working on all parts of our stack, from the frontend to the backend, and collaborating with other engineers, designers, and founders. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the rest of the team to design and implement our backend, frontend, and infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with other engineers and designers to build a user-friendly and intuitive platform that meets our customers’ needs.

  • Help define and execute the technical roadmap for our platform, balancing technical debt and innovation to ensure we can deliver on our business goals.

  • Invent, extend, and maintain development processes, tools, and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years of experience as a backend or backend-leaning full-stack engineer at Seed or Series A startup, with a focus on building scalable and reliable web applications. Having managed teams is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency in at least one modern frontend framework; experience with React and Next.js is preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Python, and familiarity with at least one Python backend framework.

  • Experience with AWS and knowledge of AWS cost and billing is a plus.

  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.

  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with and enjoys creating prototypes and experimenting quickly.
