Physician Liaison – Brooklyn

 

The Physician Liaison is responsible for driving growth within Spear’s Brooklyn clinics. The physician liaison works within the Business Development team to establish and maintain relationships with physicians, hospital networks, local businesses, and community members. The physician liaison works closely with Spear clinical directors, physical and occupational therapists, and marketing team to strategize and support Spear’s efforts to grow and thrive. 

 


Organization Structure and Interfaces
  • Primary interfaces: Director of Business Development, Physicians, Clinical Directors, Therapist team, VP of Business Development & Marketing

  • Reports to: Director of Business Development  

  • Location:  Hybrid with the expectation of: 
  • • 3-4 days traveling in the field per week
  • • 1-2 days/week at HQ 
  •  
  • Position Requirements: 
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Licensed Physical Therapist/ Occupational Therapist Preferred


Success Factors 
  • 1. Develop, maintain, and progress an active pipeline with qualified prospects within key categories: Seek out high quality interactions (via phone, email, or face to face meetings) with referral sources. 
  •    
  • 2. Manage and Update all MD office Lists- Keep 100% of MD office PT Referral lists updated with current Spear Locations and correct contact information. 
  •  
  • 3. Collateral Distribution- Make sure all referring physicians/physician groups are updated with the most current Spear marketing collateral and Spear PT/OT specialty program lists. 
  •  
  • 4. Identify New Referral Sources – Identify at least 5 new referral sources per week and make initial contact to set up meetings. 
  •  
  • 5. Manage CRM & Physician database– Input all new providers email, phone, and address on Highrise. Update and Maintain 100% of doctor information on CRM, IE: email, phone, address and MD preferences. 
  •  
  • 6. Meet Referral Targets: Support the Brooklyn clinical team in achieving set monthly referral targets.  
  •  
  • 7. Continued Education – Monitoring all MD Groups and Healthcare Networks for CEU courses and talks, manage a CEU calendar, send out email notifications a month prior to upcoming CEU courses. 
  •  
  • 8. Physician Lectures – Organize and promote medical professional and community education lectures.  
  •  
  • 9. Build, nurture, and utilize their network to develop revenue generating opportunities in Brooklyn.
