Sportradar, the global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data and digital content, is seeking a Frontend Developer for the Audio-Visual team in Trondheim. As the official data provider for some of the world's largest sports leagues, Sportradar has exclusive distribution rights to all in-game data, including live play-by-play stats and sensor data.

THE CHALLENGE:

Working as a part of the AudioVisual Tribe development team in Trondheim, the Frontend Developer will be responsible for implementing front-end applications together with the team members in the ACB squad. The AV-ACB development team in Trondheim supports the business needs of the AV vertical for analytics and customer behavior based on video processing, streams contribution and provides flexible customer reporting. Most of the teams' daily tasks involve working with Git, React.js, Java, Kotlin and AWS. We use Confluence for documentation and organize our work with Jira. In this role, the focus will be on Node.js, React.js, TypeScript and CSS/HTML.

 

The role demands someone who has a clear passion for development and creating state-of-the-art solutions, has a sound working knowledge of JavaScript as well as good skills in React and CSS, knows new and current technological trends, designs and development processes.

As our Frontend Developer you will: 

  • Work with the following tech stack: React, Node, ES6, JavaScript, TypeScript.
  • Participate in Code Reviews and writing tests – we are a quality-focused company.
  • Contribute to developing new solutions, sharing your ideas and opinions.
  • Have a space to develop your skills during our self-development time program.

YOUR PROFILE:
Must have:

  • 1 - 2 years of professional experience in frontend technologies (React, Node, ES6, JavaScript, TypeScript, Jest).
  • HTML 5 / CSS 3.
  • Figma experience
  • A problem-solving attitude, i.e. not just focused on writing code, but on tackling complex problems and determining how best to solve them.
  • Understanding of software architecture principles.
  • Understanding of REST API concepts.

Nice to have:

  • Backend technologies basic understanding and willingness to work with Java.
  • Experience with JavaScript Testing Frameworks: React Testing Library, Stryker.
  • Experience with e2e testing, e.g. Playwright
  • Experience with CSS Preprocessors: Sass Less.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases (MySQL).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline (GitLab), Docker / AWS / Kubernetes and container hosting infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of (or interest in learning) modern software system observability stack e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, New Relic.
  • Willingness to practice TDD and pair programming.
