The Account Management team partners with SMB business owners to help them get the most from Square - offering tailored guidance to help merchants reach their goals.As an Account Manager on our SMB Retail team, you’ll be at the forefront of helping diverse, dynamic business owners thrive with Square. Reporting to our Retail team lead, your role is all about building meaningful partnerships with clients in the retail space—understanding their unique needs, crafting innovative solutions, and championing them within Square.In this role, you’ll become a creative problem-solver, finding ways to tailor our products to suit an array of complex business scenarios. As a trusted advisor, you’ll not only support clients day-to-day but also uncover new growth opportunities, expanding partnerships that fuel their success. This is your chance to be a pivotal force in your clients' journeys, advocating for them with decision-makers and turning their challenges into achievements.You Will• Be responsible for growing and retaining a multi-million dollar GPV customer base• Understand Retail customer needs to help achieve their business goals through Square• Cross sell and upsell products based on customer needs• Effectively and strategically address customer concerns and issues• Help grow our managed accounts program through multiple seller touch points• Work with our Sales, Support and Product teams to ensure customers have the best possible experience across all aspects of SquareYou Have• 3+ years experience in Sales, Account Management or related field• Experience discovering and closing sales opportunities and building client relationships.• Experience successfully managing a pipeline to achieve revenue targets• Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills• Passion and knowledge about how new technologies can help better serve small and medium size businesses• Experience within the Retail industry is preferred, but not required.Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
