Those who have previously applied are still being considered and do not need to reapply.The CalSTRS Employer Services Division is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst on the Training & Development team.The Employer Services (ES) Division is the primary communication interface with the plan's participating employers. It is also the custodian of the members' accounts from election to benefit/termination status. Over a million contribution lines are submitted monthly from participating employers and ES staff ensures the timeliness and accuracy of the contribution data.Training and Development is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training to the county offices of education, community colleges, PreK-12 school districts, charter schools and CalSTRS staff. The unit is the subject matter expert in the Teachers' Retirement Law and the California Code of Regulations that the division is responsible for administering. They also manage employer communications such as Employer Information Circulars, Employer Directives, and published Employer Resources.Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst serves as a trainer under the Training and Development team, for ES Division staff and CalSTRS' employer reporting partners. The incumbent performs a full range of independent journey level analytical assignments requiring strong analytical skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:Experience designing, developing, and delivering in-person and computer-based trainingExperience independently interpreting and applying statutes, regulations, and policiesExperience drafting, auditing and managing procedures and job aidsEffective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsExcellent creative-thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively manage multiple assignments and meet challenging deadlinesAbility to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a teamDependable, accountable, and committed to quality work products and customer serviceEvery 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.Telework Information: We offer a hybrid approach including in-office and remote work solutions with staff working on-site at our Headquarters in West Sacramento two days per week.Does this opportunity seem right for you?
