• *This posting is open to current State of North Carolina employees and RIF candidates with priority rights under G.S 126**• *As of January 1, 2025, the new salary range will be $55,823 - $97,689.**• *This is an anticipated vacancy.**The Budget Analyst II is responsible for the accounting and budgetary functions in the Department’s Budget and Finance Division.Job responsibilities include:• Develop, execute, analyze and manage the Department’s capital budget.• Provide support to the fiscal/budget personnel in assigned divisions within the Department.• Analyze budgetary reports (BD701) on a routine basis to prepare internal and external budget revisions in IBIS for month-end certification and year-end closeout.• Ensure adequate funding is available to meet operating requirements.• Research and prepare responses to requests received from OSBM and Fiscal Research.• Prepare a variety of internal and external accounting and budget reports for the Department.• Advise the Budget Manager of forecasts/trends, strategic program goals, discrepancies, issues and proposed solutions.• Support the Controller as a team member of the Department’s EAGLE team.• Serve as the Division’s secondary safety representative for the Department.• Support divisions within the Department by processing requests in the DIT Service Portal.Click Here to Learn more about State Employee Benefits.The N.C.
