Syntiant Corp., a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space, has entered into an agreement to acquire a large, multi-national sensor business with global revenues in excess of $250 million per year, and is looking for an experienced and talented Product Line Director to take on critical role with expansive responsibilities and play a leading role in enhancing and growing the Neural Decision Processor (NDP) product families. 

Position Summary 

Syntiant is seeking a Product Line Director for its Neural Decision Processor (NDP) product families. These products push the technology limits of neural compute in power constrained environments. The Syntiant NDPs are designed into products from earbuds to automobiles and are used primarily for audio event detection and computer vision applications. 

We are looking for a leader to work closely with customers and key partners to define our next generation products, to grow and expand the business, and manage the products throughout their lifecycles.  

A successful candidate will be detailed oriented, have a strong sense of ownership, self-motivated, and work with a high sense of urgency, and have demonstrated prior commercial results. The candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work well across various functional organizations such as Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, and Field Sales. 

Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking an innovative Director for our Neural Decision Processor Product Line 

  • Drive Neural Decision Processor and Software roadmap & product definition for Edge AI Market 
  • Gather voice of customer, accumulate market knowledge of key targeted customers/segments through competitive and market analysis to develop appropriate commercial strategies 
  • Provide leadership for NPI teams to take a product from concept to mass production 
  • Work with application engineering & R&D teams to drive outbound technical marketing collateral 
  • Coordinate global pricing strategy, analyze market pricing and closely monitor end-to-end margins 
  • Work with R&D, Operations & Finance teams to drive the cost to meet margin targets 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related engineering field. Masters’ Degree / MBA preferred 
  • Minimum 15 years of business/engineering related work experience. Semiconductor industry preferred 
  • Experience in Machine Learning Software and Processors 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills 
  • Solid analytical skills coupled with the ability to take initiative to solve complex problems 
  • Self-starter and strong work ethic 
  • Develop material for new product “go to market” activities including marketing. campaigns, product promotion material, and other sales collateral 
  • Develop and deliver training to the sales and FAE teams 
  • Present Syntiant solutions at industry conferences and trade shows; and Create journal articles, whitepapers, and other published material 
  • Defining a product strategy and roadmap within the targeted application spaces 
  • Drive execution requirements and oversee the product from concept to release to market 
  • Preparing business plans for new product concepts and proposals 
  • Promoting new and existing products to the market. 
  • Managing pricing and quotations  
  • Managing products throughout the entire product lifecycle 
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, high-pace environment 
  • Can travel domestically and internationally approximately ~10 days per month on average 
  • Other duties as assigned
