At Texas Health Action (THA), we're on a mission to create a supportive, inclusive healthcare environment, particularly for those impacted by HIV and the LGBTQIA+ community. We're excited to invite a dedicated Patient Advocate to join our Kind Clinic team in San Antonio. If you're bilingual in Spanish and English, that’s a huge plus! As a Patient Advocate, you’ll be the friendly face our patients turn to as they navigate the often confusing steps of healthcare access. Your role matters because you’ll be directly involved in facilitating health services, from insurance navigation to helping patients understand their care options. You’ll conduct one-on-one consultations, assist with assessments for medical services like PrEP/PEP, and provide crucial support in accessing mental health services. You'll also engage in community outreach, bring sexual health education to the forefront, and help address the barriers that some patients face when trying to access care. Your time spent here will include monitoring patient satisfaction and improving our services by analyzing data and using quality improvement methods. You’re empowered to create a positive impact, champion patient needs, and work collaboratively with local agencies to enhance our programs. Each day will bring new challenges and opportunities for personal and professional growth in a dynamic, community-focused organization. If you thrive in diverse environments, love helping others, and share a passion for health equity, then this is the role for you.
