Position Overview:
We are seeking an Operations Analyst with Management Consulting Experience to join our team. This is a highly analytical role that will focus on manpower planning, resource allocation, and providing critical operational insights to support project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management consulting, with experience in Excel analysis, resource planning, and creating impactful PowerPoint presentations. This role is integral to ensuring efficient project execution, data-driven decision-making, and effective resource utilization for our clients in the power and utilities sectors.
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed manpower and resource planning to ensure optimal allocation of resources across projects.
Use advanced Excel techniques to analyze operational data, track project progress, and identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare and present PowerPoint presentations to communicate key findings, recommendations, and operational metrics to stakeholders.
Develop and maintain resource models and provide forecasting support for client projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
Work closely with project managers and senior leadership to provide data-driven insights for project planning and execution.
Support the development of project schedules, identifying resource constraints and proposing solutions to ensure smooth project delivery.
Participate in client meetings to provide operational insights and analysis that inform strategic decisions.
Develop process improvements to streamline operations and enhance project efficiency.
Create and manage dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators and project metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of management consulting experience, ideally with a focus on operations, project management, or resource planning.
Big 4 experience or experience in a strategy consulting firm is preferred.
Strong experience in manpower planning, resource management, and providing operational support in a consulting environment.
Proficient in Excel (advanced functions, modeling, pivot tables) and PowerPoint for creating presentations and reports.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Experience in the power, renewables, or utilities sectors is preferred, but not required.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with project management software (e.g., Smartsheets, MS Project, or similar) is a plus.
