We are now seeking The Head of Student Recruitment for our Malvern Higher Education Partnership to be responsible for supporting the Director of Student Recruitment to develop and deliver our international sales strategy and driving business development in line with strategic growth plans.

Working with a range of different stakeholders including Global Recruitment Units (Sales teams), colleagues from our centres, and our university partners. This role is responsible for driving in-region student recruitment activity, travelling internationally (up to 16 weeks per year), in addition to UK-based travel to our schools and university partners as required.

Main duties

Drive and deliver sales targets across the business, managing the Sales Team, training staff and agent partners, delivering presentations, and managing projects to deliver key recruitment results for our university partnerships across a variety of international recruitment markets.Deployment of our student recruitment function and activities to support our partners’ recruitment aspirations.To undertake UK and international travel to support recruitment activities, including agent training and workshops, exhibitions, and counselling prospective students and parents on Malvern International products.To provide direct management, leadership and coaching for the sales team.To develop (with support from Director of Student Recruitment) sales initiatives to maximise on recruitment from a variety of recruitment channels.To build relationships with partners and sponsors where appropriate.To liaise with university partners to ensure excellent relationships are maintained with our partners, including developing and maintaining close working relationships with international office and marketing staff and visiting our university partners on a regular basis.To lead on the maintenance, development and expansion of the agent network.To work closely with the Director of Sales Operations to ensure effective student recruitment processes and student conversion.   To work closely with the Director of Sales Operations and other colleagues to develop reporting tools to manage scholarships, incentives, recruitment activity spend, and the student journey.Provide reporting and data analysis on Sales performances and future projections.The establishment of new business opportunities as appropriate.To help develop and deliver recruitment strategy to ensure recruitment targets are met/exceeded for each university partner.To monitor the effectiveness of recruitment activity and ensure that the team recruitment budget is managed.Work cooperatively and supportively with School staff and Senior Management to ensure good channels of communication and exchange of relevant data.To work with Global Recruitment team to drive student applications and conversion for every intake.To work with the Senior Management team to further the MI brand and those of our university partners.To write and contribute to reports, and new business development activity as required.To have experience of successfully growing recruitment results from key recruitment regions.To proactively support group planning, training team development activities and initiatives.Participate in group training and team building activities.Participate in group planning and product development initiatives.Participate in cross-network sales and marketing initiatives.


Person Specification

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

5 years in international recruitment and staff management.Educated to degree level.Experience of implementing effective agent incentives.Proven track record of achieving outstanding performance in student recruitment for a variety of programme types. Outstanding communications skills at all levels of an organisation.Ability to manage the ambiguity associated with organisational expansion, development and change initiatives. Proven track record in delivering against recruitment targets in the international education sphere.Knowledge of UK focussed and international student recruitment networks and strategies.Excellent understanding of the UK education system.Experience in generating demand from a range of recruitment channels, including agents and direct recruitment.Experience of producing sales reports and executing sales plans.Strong presentation skills, especially to an international audience.An ability to analyse and conceptualise with strong communication skills and a passion for education and training.IT proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
