Founded in 1891 by a group of visionary volunteers, The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees) is the nation’s premier conservation and preservation organization. The Trustees’ preserves, for public use and enjoyment, properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts. Our properties are open to all, and we thrive by involving as many people as possible in all that we do. We aim to protect special places for future generations to enjoy in perpetuity, and have helped protect more than 50,000 acres, including 27,000+ acres on more than 120 reservations that are open to the public. As a non-profit conservation organization, we are funded and supported entirely by our visitors, supporters, volunteers, and our 100,000 Member households. Long Hill was owned and cared for by the Sedgwick family from 1916 to 1979 – their beloved summer home that, in the 1950s, became their year-round haven. Today, visitors delight in the beauty of Long Hill’s structured and naturalistic gardens as well as a network of woodland trails. A diverse collection of trees, shrubs, and distinctive perennial plants provide color during the growing season, peaking in May and June and providing structure and beauty throughout the year. With an ever-growing calendar of public events and festivities, you’ll find ample reason for frequent returns.
The Role:
Stevens-Coolidge House & Gardens, a scenic public garden and historic home located in North Andover, is currently hiring a part-time check-in attendant for our Celebrate Spring event. This incredible property will transform from April 24th – May 12th with a bulb display, decorations and the historic home open for self-guided tours.
As a Visitor Service Associate, you will further the mission of The Trustees and preserve our special places by providing superior service during this annual event in April and May.
