Job Description

As a Senior Accountant here at Ward Law Group, you will be working in a fast-paced, growing work environment where you will be responsible for delivering a world-class client experience that will make a lasting impact on our community. You will be a crucial element to the accounting team. You will manage financial transactions, analyze financial reports, ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.

Scheduled: Monday through Friday - 9:00 am to 5:30pm EST- 40 hours per week.

Senior Accountant duties but not limited are: 

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Verify transactions are posted accurately.
  • Perform partial checks of the posting process.
  • Complete tax forms.
  • Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements.
  • Documenting financial transaction details and monitoring the transactions.
  • Preparing and filing financial documents.
  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Processing Bank/ Credit card Reconciliations.
  • Assisting with month- end/Year end close.
  • Producing Adhoc reports as needed.
  • Working with staff accountants as required.

Salary $1,200-1,400 USD Per month

Qualifications

Senior Accountant Job Qualifications: 

  • Candidate must be able to speak English and Spanish fluently.
  • Candidate must have 4 years of Accounting Experience.
  • Candidate must have solid understanding of General Accounting principles and GAAP.
  • Candidate must have ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Candidate must have experience with excel, V-lookups, Pivot tables and spreadsheets.
  • Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks.
  • Candidate must have high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Candidate must have ability to work independently.
  • Candidate must have the following work at home settings minimum to work:
    •  Computer:
      • Windows: Windows 10, Intel i5 (8th Gen+) or 2ghz and 8 cores, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD
      • Mac: macOS 11 (Big Sur+), Apple M1 or Intel i5, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD
      • Display: Full HD (1920x1080)
    • Network:
      • Connection: Wired Ethernet preferred; 5 GHz Wi-Fi acceptable
      • Internet Speed: 30 Mbps download, 15 Mbps upload
      • Latency: Under 100 m.
    • Other:
      • Noise-canceling headset Preferably with a 3.5mm connection.
      • 720p webcam for meetings, huddles and trainings.
